My name is Rick Berk, and I'm a fine art nature and landscape photographer, specializing in museum quality large format photographic prints. My work has been purchased by collectors across the USA and around the world. Based on Maine's midcoast, I live with my lovely wife Jessica and my stepson, occasionally visited by my two college age children when they have time for their old man!

I've spent nearly 30 years in photography, beginning as a sports photographer covering professional sports, before transitioning to working as a technical specialist for Canon USA. While at Canon USA, I spent my time training photographers, consumers, and photo specialty retail staff on Canon technology specifically and photography in general. In the past several years I have transitioned back to being behind the camera full-time, traveling extensively to produce stunningly eye-catching photographs.

As I honed my craft, I developed a deeper understanding of tonal and spatial relationships in a scene, composing deliberately and exposing my images carefully, paying careful attention to detail and creatively using beautiful light to create my images. My collection of work is available as fine art prints using the highest quality printing and mounting processes available.

Currently, I'm photographing with Sony cameras and lenses, and use on-camera filters extensively for manipulating exposure and light. I have a working relationship with Lee Filters, a division of Panavision, and my work can often be seen in their social media posts.

Encompassing only my very best work, this website features both open editions as well as many limited edition prints, which will be limited in production to 100 prints, regardless of size or medium. Once a piece has reached its production limit, it will be retired and not produced again as a fine art print. Limited Edition print purchases will also receive a Certificate of Authenticity signed by me and numbered to indicate the print's number in the production run.
